Abandoning the series’ previous fantasy-based themes, Planetfall is the first Age of Wonders game to be set in a whiz-bang sci-fi future, though the world-building is so confident that the newcomers might not realize that this is the first of the series based in space. Not to worry, as Planetfall is a perfect jumping-in point for new players.

There is so much going on in Age of Wonders: Planetfall that even trying to describe the game is a little bit intimidating. I’m not even gonna try to pretend I’ve seen it all. I have put around thirty-five hours into Age of Wonders: Planetfall, and I still feel like I have only seen a fraction of what this game has to offer.
